Labels: Louis VI, Pr v, Royal domainDuring Louis VI’s reign, the Capetian monarchy worked to make the king’s peace and justice more effective in and around the royal domain. Royal officials such as prévôts (provosts, local royal agents) became more important for enforcing order and collecting revenues.
