Rhythm 10 introduces risk-and-repetition method
Labels: Rhythm 10, Marina AbramoviIn Rhythm 10, Abramović used knives and two tape recorders to create an endurance-based action where mistakes (cuts) were repeated and replayed. The work helped set a pattern for her early practice: using the body as the main material and treating time, pain, and memory as part of the artwork. It also positioned her within the growing 1970s field of performance and body art.
