In the same July 17 New York session, the ODJB recorded “Lazy Daddy” (matrix B-22067), continuing a steady pace of releases that helped define early recorded jazz for mainstream audiences.
After a gap in documented sessions, the band returned to Victor’s New York studio to record “’Lasses Candy” (matrix B-22337), illustrating ODJB’s ongoing role in commercial dance/jazz recordings at the end of 1918.
In the same December 3 New York session, the ODJB recorded “The Satanic Blues” (matrix B-22338), one of the group’s darker-titled numbers later revived in various reissues and compilations.
The band recorded “In the Dusk” (matrix B-24580) at Victor in New York, marking the ODJB’s return to U.S. studio work in late 1920 (after their better-known earlier period of intensive recording).
In the same November 24 New York session, the ODJB recorded “Margie” (matrix B-24581), reflecting their continued adaptation of popular-song repertoire into a jazz/dance-band idiom.

In the same January 28 New York session, the ODJB recorded “Crazy Blues” (matrix B-24826), aligning their repertoire with widely popular blues material of the period.
At Victor in New York, the ODJB recorded “Jazz Me Blues” (matrix B-25072), reflecting the way “jazz” had become a marketable label as well as a musical style by 1921.
In the same May 3 New York session, the band recorded W. C. Handy’s “St. Louis Blues” (matrix B-25073), a notable example of ODJB interpreting a major blues standard for the dance record market.
At Victor in New York, the ODJB recorded “Satanic Blues” (matrix B-25411) in a version described as jazz/dance band with male vocal solo—showing the group’s continued crossover with vocal-pop recording conventions.
Also on May 25 in New York, the band recorded another “St. Louis Blues” master (matrix B-25412) described as including a male vocal solo, indicating multiple takes/arrangements aimed at commercial release formats.
After their early Victor era, ODJB recorded for OKeh in April 1923, including “Tiger Rag” (matrix S-71429) and “Barnyard Blues” (matrix S-71430). DAHR lists the recording month, reflecting how some later ODJB session documentation survives with less day-level specificity.
