Grotowski takes over Opole’s Theatre of 13 Rows

Working in a very small studio room pushed the company toward close actor–audience proximity and constant reconfiguration of the playing area. This kind of intense, space-driven experimentation helped set the stage for later “black box” and flexible-space thinking in modern theatre.
