Labels: Office of, Edmund TilneyIn the late Tudor court, plays were organized through the Office of the Revels, a part of the royal household that planned and paid for holiday entertainments. Under Master of the Revels Edmund Tilney, court shows increasingly relied on professional acting companies rather than court amateurs.
