Labels: Gurru u, Rom lawAround 1800, Yolŋu economic life in northeast Arnhem Land was organized through gurruṯu (a kinship system) and rom (law). These systems set out who must help whom, what goods or services are owed, and how exchanges should happen during key events such as initiation and funerals.
